Amanda Marie Jackson, 86, born November 9, 1928 in Bay City, Texas entered into eternal rest November 19, 2014. Amanda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Rudolph Jackson; parents: John Wharton Bates and Alice E. Bates; siblings: Ruby Love Bates Swansey, Sidney James Bates "Buddy", Morris Henry Bates, John Wharton Bates, Jr. "JW", Earnest Monroe Bates "Jack", Guy Vandone Bates, Alice Bell Bates Jones "Mittie". Left to cherish her precious memories: sons: Willie Davis and wife Betty, James Michael Davis; daughter, Patricia Dawn Ellis; grandchildren: Geneva Ellis-Saenz and husband Bobby, Candice Davis Estapa, Patricia A. Ellis, Jessica Ellis; great grandchildren: Jordan, Nicholas and Alyssa Gonzalez, Amber Saenz, Dior Davis and Austin Cole Estapa, Christopher Reescano; sister, Betty Jean Moore; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving families. Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 22nd from 12-2pm with Funeral Services to begin at 2pm in the Family Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
