Angel O. Alvarado

Angel Oswaldo Alvarado, 88, of Houston, Texas, died on Saturday, November 10, 2012. He was born in Guatemala on August 2, 1924. He moved to the U.S. in 1965 to serve as the General Consul of Guatemala for the City of Houston.

Angel always enjoyed the company of family and friends and loved to tell jokes and stories. He liked to go dancing and had a bit of a sweet tooth.

Angel is survived by his wife Lydia and their daughters Linda and Tricia, their families and grandchildren. He is also survived by his daughters Judith, Olga, Jeannette and Sheny, their families, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Oswaldo.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. Funeral service will be on Wednesday November 14, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors. Interment will follow immediately at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Interfaith Care Partners of Houston.
