

Mary Angie Howard Windlinger joined her parents and The Lord on July 16, 2013. Angie was born in San Antonio, TX on May 2, 1927 to her parents Angie Riordan and Michael Goggan Howard. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Alice Bennett and Mickey Howard. After graduating from St Mary’s School and Our Lady of the Lake University with a degree in chemistry, she married Jerome Leo Windlinger. They recently celebrated 64 years of marriage. Angie is survived by her husband, three sons: Jerry, John and Jim Windlinger, and four daughters: Susan Larmore, Joan Mateker, Jane Brownlow, and Sarah Gilmartin, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Angie taught biology and chemistry and pioneered a computer technology curriculum at HISD. She earned a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Houston when she resumed teaching after raising her seven children. Angie was a talented pianist and played the organ at the Catholic communities she was an active member of in San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and Tucson.

Visitation at 9am followed by a funeral mass at 10am will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Rd. on July 19.
