Ann Bronn Rayne

Ann Bronn Rayne, 82, passed away December 3, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She was born and raised in Natchez, MS to Nannie Mae Kelly Bronn and LeRoy W. Bronn. She graduated from Ole Miss and married the love of her life, John Robert Rayne, Sr. on June 4, 1955.

Ann grew up in Natchez, MS and formed a deep love for history and southern culture. She was always ready with a story of interesting history or the people she knew. Through her life she lived in Natchez, Miss., Houston, TX, Corpus Christi, TX, and Covington, LA. She made friends easily wherever she was and dedicated herself to raise and support her family and friends with the southern spirit she lived.

“Bob”, her husband of 52 years, preceded Ann in death. She is survived by her children Katherine A. Rayne Schneider, Frederick S. Bronn Rayne, M. Elizabeth Rayne, Selena N. Rayne Hooper, John R. Rayne, Jr. and Rebecca B. Rayne Rose, and seven grandchildren.

There will be a private graveside service at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. The family will have a Memorial Celebration of Life at St. Thomas Episcopal Church Murray Center, 4900 Jackwood, Houston, TX at 5 PM Saturday Dec 20, 2014.

In lieu of flowers, donations can honor her through support of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center or the American Heart Institute.
