Born in Bay City, Texas on October 6, 1944, Annette was the 8th child of Frank Richard Henkes and Annie Agnes Hahn Henkes. She grew up on a share-cropping farm in El Maton, Texas along with 2 brothers and 6 sisters, where cotton picking was the main chore. As a young girl, Annette, along with her siblings, labored side by side as they talked about dancing with friends, and who picked the most cotton.
Annette’s greatest love and best friend was her husband, Jimmie, who passed away in September 2025. They were married for 63 years and partnered in every endeavor whether it be the family businesses, weekend trips to Louisiana casinos, drag races, grandchildren events, family visits to El Campo and Bay City, and church.
Annette was extremely proud of her family. When she was able, her favorite times were making chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, and all the sides. Her Dutch apple pie could have been a blue ribbon winner!
She leaves behind her sons Todd Naiser and wife Susan, Jeffery Naiser and wife Kim. Grandsons Garrett Naiser and wife Anna, Alex Naiser and wife Shelby. Granddaughters Sarah Braddick and husband Beau, Aubrey Naiser. Great grandchildren Bowie and Grayson Naiser, Allison Braddick. Preceded in death by husband Jimmie Naiser, brothers Billy and Jimmy Henkes, sisters Dorothy Mazyn, Joyce Miller, Eleanora Davis, and Lorene Buff.
Annette will be remembered for her love of the Houston Astros, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas A&M football. Her favorite pastime was going to L’Auberge Dulac casino in Lake Charles where you could find her playing ‘9-liners’. She was a faithful customer for over 20 years.
