

Born on July 21, 1946, in Dunkirk, New York, Anthony was the son of Anthony Louis Pascaretta and Josephine Cora Nasca. He completed his early education in Dunkirk there, he earned an Associate’s Degree in Chemistry, an Associate’s in Applied Science in Medical Technology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in New York. Anthony later pursued graduate studies, earning a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Texas Woman's University and a Ph.D. in Psychology.
Anthony had a long and impactful career in both the healthcare and religious communities. He worked for 19 years as a nurse at Ben Taub Hospital, emergency psypsychiatry. He was also a professor in the human services technology program at Houston Community College for 10 years. In addition to his nursing career, Anthony was a priest, psychotherapist, and chemical dependency counselor, dedicating 30 years to Texas House. His many contributions included being consecrated as a bishop and earning the Teacher of the Year award. He also created a family program for chemical dependency counseling.
Anthony was deeply involved in church ministries, particularly at Notre Dame and Sugar Creek Baptist Church, where he was a spiritual leader and pillar of support to many.
Anthony will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, compassionate friend, and an insightful conversationalist. His commitment to his faith, family, and community leaves a lasting legacy.
He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony Pascaretta Sr.; his mother, Josephine Pascaretta; his sister, Janet Pascaretta; and his niece, Karen.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Edna Pascaretta, and her children and their spouses: Wilfredo and Jomina Antonio, Esther and Nhat Dinh, Herschell and Robert Vargas, Reschell and Marty Odem, Joshua Antonio, Jonathan and Monica Alcantara, grandchildren: Nikolas, Leo, Avisha, Azriel, Dominique, Michele, Jean-Pierre, Richard, Kristen, Matthew, Katherine, Patrick, Lauren Ellie, Junel, Chase, and Catalina, brother in law: Terry Cowles, nephew; Aiden Cowles. Geraldine, and Doris.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Luke, Dr. Bibs, James, Kubra, Anna, Stephen, and all the staff at West Houston Hospital for their care. A special thanks to the Notre Dame brothers and sisters, with special mention to Moises, Guy and Lupita, Don and Bella, Deacon Anthony, Gus, Bea, and Sherri for their unwavering support.
