Antonia Herrera Peña

Antonia “Toña” Herrera Peña was born on May 10th, 1971 in Santa Rita de Casia Municipio de Guadalupe, San Luis Potosi, Mexico and graciously accepted God’s hand into his kingdom on January 30th, 2025 after relentlessly fighting Adrenocortical Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Antonia was born to Antonio Herrera and Manuela Peña, the middle child of a large family of 11.

She was a fighter by heart and giver by nature; always figuring out solutions and selflessly helping others. She often would cook for her family, tend to her garden, watch classic Kung-fu movies, thrift, and check on family to make sure they know they are not forgotten. Toña was a kind and selfless person who would give the shirt off her back, willing to put others needs before her own. Her love was unconditional and the love she had for her family was one of a kind.

Tona was survived by her three children: Maria “Pita”, Ramiro “Bebe”, and Zusana “Mi Reina” Crespo and her two grandsons, Noah and Joziah. Her mother Manuela and siblings Dole, Pascual “Chato”, Geronimo “Jidi”, Braulio “Lalo”, Antonio “Toni”, Armando “Mando”. Ester “Guito”, Elizabeth “Liza”, Petra and Juan “Momo” Herrera Peña.

She will rest in peace with her father Antonio Herrera and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Celebration of life will be on held on February 13th, 2025 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, Tx 77079. Visitation will start from 8:00am to 10:00am and service will start at 10:00am.

Antonia “Toña” Herrera Peña nació el 10 de mayo de 1971 en Santa Rita de Casia Municipio de Guadalupe, San Luis Potosí, México y graciosamente aceptó la mano de Dios en su reino el 30 de Enero de 2025 después de luchar sin descanso contra el Carcinoma Adrenocortical, un cáncer raro y agresivo. Tona nació de Antonio Herrera y Manuela Peña, la mediana de una familia de 11 hermanos.

Ella era luchadora de corazón y dadora por naturaleza; Siempre buscando soluciones y ayudando desinteresadamente a los demás. A menudo cocinaba para su familia, cuidaba su jardín, veía películas clásicas de Kung-fu, hacía ahorros y controlaba a su familia para asegurarse de que estuvieran en su mente. Toña era una persona amable y desinteresada, dispuesta a anteponer las necesidades de los demás a las suyas propias. Su amor era incondicional y el amor que tenía por su familia era único.

A Toña le sobreviven sus tres hijos: Maria “Pita”, Ramiro “Bebe”, y Zusana “Mi Reina” Crespo y sus dos nietos, Noah y Joziah. Su madre Manuela y hermanos Dole, Pascual “Chato”, Geronimo “Jidi”, Braulio “Lalo”, Antonio “Toni”, Armando “Mando”. Ester “Guito”, Elizabeth “Liza”, Petra y Juan “Momo” Herrera Peña.

Descansará en paz junto con su padre Antonio Herrera y nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
