

Arnold Gustav Erickson, 98, of Spring, Texas passed away on October 11, 2016 at Tomball Nursing Center in Tomball, Texas. He passed in peace, surrounded by family and caring Nursing Home staff. Daily people recount stories of Dad’s humor, caring and empathy for others.
He is survived by daughters Katherine Herndon, Barbara Erickson Lomax (Randy) and sons Arnold Erickson Jr (Karen), Richard Swanson (Linda). He was preceded in death by Kenneth A Erickson (son). He has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, graduated from University of Massachusetts Stockbridge School of Agriculture, president of the Massachusetts Turkey Growers Association and president of the Lake Worth Shuffleboard group. He was a member of the State Guard 17th company 26th infantry of Cohasset, Massachusetts from 1941-1945. He was the owner of Cedar Acres poultry farm in Cohasset, Massachusetts where he gave school tours to inspire young people to be involved with animals. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, Patriots and Celtic teams. He had a Numismatic and stamp collecting business in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Special thanks to the Tomball Nursing Center for their constant care and support. He inspired humor, empathy and honesty. He will be buried at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach, Florida.
