

Arthur Perkins Minier Jr. (85) peacefully went to be with his Lord on July 28, 2016, in Richmond, Tx. Born Sept. 10, 1930 in Houston, Tx. to Arthur and Blanche (Straw) Minier; he married his beloved Betty J. Buse in 1953 and soon after he graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He served his country proudly as a 2nd Lt. in the Army in Germany. He returned home where he established himself as an outstanding salesman in steel galvanizing business. Later in life, Art and Betty opened a pet store in Conroe, where they dispensed their love of animals. They were known for their exotic parrots that they bred and hand fed. He was a passionate Mason and a Clown Jewel in the Shriners organization, where he was named Clown of the Year and served as Clown President. He said “Clowns are made up of givers instead of takers, for every ounce you put into it, you get a pound of return.” He was always involved throughout his life as he was a Boy Scout, a Cougar Guard at the U of H and Facebook friends with people all over the world. He is survived by his wife of 62 years; his three daughters: Cherie Correro (Joe); Marianne Walker (Paul); Melinda O’Dell (David); 9 grandchildren: Mila McClain; Sonya Pastuch (Michael); Ryan O’Dell (Kristen); Jeff Walker (who greeted him in heaven); Brad Walker M.D.; Kimberly Williams (Matt); Steven Walker; Sarah Maultsby (Nick); Jonathan Correro, and 12 great grandchildren: Jackson, Jacob, Elle, Macy, Sophie, Noah, Lily, Rylee, Benjamin,Caleb Jeffrey, Lincoln, and Gracie.
