Arthur Ray Ellis born December 28, 1923 passed away at the age of 88 on August 2, 2012. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Meg and Larry Ellis of Columbia, South Carolina; Sandra and David Davis of Centerville, Texas; Kim and Ronnie Ellis of Porter, Texas; Connie and Bob Sweigard of Houston, Texas and Paul Ellis of Brazoria, Texas; 9 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson.
He was a member of the La Porte Masonic Lodge of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas and the Arabia Shrine Center. Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m., Monday, August 6, 2012 in the Chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with Jim T. Middleton officiating. A Masonic Graveside service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to the Shriners Hospital.
