She is survived by her daughter Teri Woods Crook (Steve), and her sons Stanley Davenport (Beverly), Steve Davenport, and Stuart Davenport (Sarah), along with her six grandchildren: Jonathan Crook, Jaimi Boutemy De Guislan (Jean Luc), Jeffrey Crook (Megan), Scott McKenna (Lali), Eric McKenna, and Seth Davenport. Audrey was a natural entrepreneur. After her first husband passed away, she opened a ceramics store where she taught lessons and sold ceramic supplies. After remarrying, she closed her store and focused on helping Rod with estate sales, appraisals, and the antique store. They made quite a pair, traveling the back roads, looking for bargains, the original antique “pickers.”
Audrey was no stranger to hard work. She grew up during the Depression, and all her brothers and brothers-in-law proudly served in the armed services during WWII. However, her true passion was her family. Her greatest efforts were in making sure we all knew how much she loved us. She was a faithful member of Trinity First United Methodist Church until she moved to Houston to be closer to her family.
Preceding Audrey in death were her parents, five siblings, husbands John Woods and Rodney Davenport, and daughters Vicki McKenna and Nancy Davenport.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Martin Funeral Home, 128 N. Resler Dr., El Paso, TX 79912, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 5. She will be laid to rest at Restlawn Cemetery, 4848 Alps, El Paso, TX.
