Aurora Domino Johnson

On October 22, 2023, Aurora Domino Johnson of Huntsville, Texas, passed away peacefully at age 97 in Huntsville Memorial Hospital. She was born December 16, 1925 in Lerdo, Durango, Mexico to Atanasio Sifuentes and Sara Sifuentes-Hernandez.

Aurora was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother during her incredible life. She always provided support and love for her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting and needlepoint.

Aurora was the last surviving member of her seven siblings.

Aurora was preceded in death by two husbands, Dennis Odell Johnson, and Joseph Domino.

She will be deeply missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank J. Johnson (Monique), two daughters and two sons-in-law, Sylvia P. Drehel (Nick) of Pearland, TX, Maria G. Gleason (Michael) of Katy, Texas; three grandchildren (Kimberly Rose Mullen (Blake), Franklin Orlando Ochoa, Jr. (Claudia) and Melissa Johnson) and four great grandchildren (Jordan Paul Mullen, Adeline Rose Mullen, Olivia Marin Ochoa and Mia Marin Ochoa). The family and her many friends are so grateful for the time they had to spend with her. They will always feel her presence in their hearts.

The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Huntsville Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Aurora and her family.

Visitation for Aurora will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. The funeral service will occur Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. A committal service will occur Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13401 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039.
