Aurora enjoyed the company of family and friends, especially during the holidays. Aurora's favorite holiday was Thanksgiving. She enjoyed making memories with family, especially with her sister Helen, who was always with her. Together, they took care of each other and shared a close bond. For 30 years, Aurora worked as an insurance adjuster. Aurora loved to read and travel. One of her top destinations was vacationing in South Padre Island every summer. Aurora and Helen also made frequent trips to visit Lockhart, Tx.
Aurora is survived by her sisters Helen Pesina and Olivia Garcia (Antonio R. Garcia) ; her nieces Angela Saldivar and Melissa Garza (Lionel Garza Jr); her nephew Antonio R. Garcia Jr. (Narcy Garcia); her grandnephews Joshua Saldivar (Tammy Saldivar), Jordan Saldivar (Nora Saldivar), Lionel G. Garza, Gabriel Garza, and Daniel Garza; and her grandnieces Sabrina Garza, Kathlynn Saldivar, and Mia Garcia.
Aurora was preceded in death by her mother Adolfa Pesina and her father Julio Pesina; her brother Jimmy Loera and her sister Rosa Pesina; and her grandniece Jazmine Garcia.
A funeral mass for Aurora will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran Street, Houston, Texas 77009. A burial will occur Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Historic Hollywood Cemetery, 3506 N. Main Street, Houston, Texas 77009. A a reception will follow immediately after the burial at St. Patrick's Catholic Church hall.
