AUSTEN MICHAEL READE, our dear son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, and friend to many, left us to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, the 25th of March 2010, just two days before his 24th birthday.A more detailed and specific obituary was previously published in Sunday's edition, and is to also be published in Wednesday's edition.Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the afternoon until nine o'clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 31st of March, in the Library and the Grand Foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.The memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Thursday, the 1st of April, at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road in Houston, where the Rev. Dr. Russell J. Levenson, Jr., Rector, the Rev. Martin J. Bastian, Senior Associate Rector, and the Rev. Stuart Bates, Rector of St. Francis Episcopal Church, are to officiate.Immediately following the memorial service, all are invited to greet the family during a reception at a venue to be announced during the service.Prior to the service, the family will have gathered for a private interment at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in Austen's memory may be directed to The Yellowstone Academy Scout Troop, 3000 Trulley Street, Houston, TX, 77004. -->
