It is with heavy hearts and unwavering faith that we announce the passing of our beloved Susie Ventura, age 64, who went home to be with the Lord on 2/23/2025. Though her journey on this earth was cut short by brain cancer, her life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and service.
Susie was a vibrant soul, full of life, energy, and an indomitable spirit. She was known for her boundless generosity, selfless heart, and ability to make everyone she encountered feel like family. Whether through mission trips that took her across the globe or the countless hours she spent helping those in need, Susie’s heart was always open to others. She was a true servant at work, going above and beyond to care for patients and support her coworkers, many of whom became like family to her.
Her love for her own family was fierce and unshakeable, and her role as a caregiver was nothing short of extraordinary. Susie never hesitated to offer a helping hand, an encouraging word, or a prayer when needed, and those around her knew her to be a mighty prayer warrior, constantly lifting others up before the Lord.
In her community, Susie was a beloved figure, deeply connected to her church family and touched by God’s love. She was often called "la tia favorita" by those who loved her, a testament to the warmth and kindness she radiated. Her compassionate spirit extended to the causes close to her heart, including her participation in 5K events to raise funds and awareness for various charitable causes. One of these events, unknowingly to her, was for brain cancer research—an irony not lost on those who knew her.
As she faced the challenge of brain cancer, Susie clung to her faith with a strength and grace that inspired all who knew her. She fought courageously, not just for herself but for everyone who loved her, never losing sight of the hope that she found in Jesus Christ. Her battle was a reflection of her unwavering trust in God’s plan and her deep belief that nothing—no illness, no trial—could separate her from His love.
Susie leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. As we mourn her loss, we are comforted by the knowledge that she is now in the presence of her Savior, where she is healed and at peace.
Her life, though short, was a beautiful example of grace, devotion, and the power of love. She will be missed more than words can express, but her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved her.
