B J Bailey

Barbara Jean (B.J.) Bailey passed away in Houston, TX on Friday, July 24, 2015, with her son at her side. Born March 28, 1947 in Little Rock, AR, she traveled all over with her military family. She attended Clover Park in Lakewood, WA, and graduated from E. E. Smith in Fayetteville, NC. After attending North Carolina A&T State University, B.J. returned to Tacoma and graduated from the University of Puget Sound. She served the citizens of Washington and Texas for over 38 years as a Civil Servant, retiring in 2013 as Manager of the Lakewood DSHS Office.

B.J. is survived by her son in Virginia, Brodrick J. (BJ) Bailey (Sonya), her sisters in Tacoma, Gloria J. Hudson and Yolanda Y. Rice, her brother in Texas, Alfred F. Hudson (Rita), and her brothers in Tacoma, Tony Hudson (Lorraine) and Ricky Hudson. She leaves behind her treasured granddaughters, Annabelle and Sophia, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
