

She was born August 18, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois; she was the daughter of the late Anton Josef Gassner and Elsie (Eckle) Gassner.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Ervin Berry Sr. and brothers, Anton J. Gassner and Joseph Gassner.
She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Williams of Fort Collins, Colorado; her three children, son, Leonard E. Berry
Jr. of Porter, TX, and two daughters and their spouses, Alejandro and Teresa (Berry)Pena of Boise, Idaho, and Craig and Catherine (Berry)Ewing of Muskogee, Oklahoma; four grandchildren Rachel Payton (husband Jeff Payton), Alejandro Pena II, Austin Ewing and Cody Ewing and one great-grandchild Edie Payton.
Barbara was a beloved Wife, Sister, Mom, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. We will never forget her love, strength, selflessness, sacrifices and undying love. Now she is in God’s hands in heaven with her parents, husband, and brothers. May she rest in eternal peace and happiness.
Visitation is set from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Thursday, October 10th at Advantage Funeral Home, 7010 Chetwood Dr Houston, Texas 77081. Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband, Leonard Ervin Berry Sr. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023.
