

Barbara retired from ownership of The Spot Club for 27 years where she made a living doing what she loved. She entertained and made lifelong friendships with customers by providing Houston hospitality to everyone who came her way. Her weekly Sunday jam sessions were well attended by local musicians. The Spot annual Luau parties and Oilfield Turkey Fry parties were not to be missed.
Barbara was very active in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Souvenir Program Committee. She was a lifetime member and earned the honor of Lifetime Committeeman after 20 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her son Earl Ross Henson II, and her mother Delia Lee of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She is survived by three loving daughters Linda Renee Henson, of Houston, Vicki Lynn Henson, of Houston, and Sondra Kay Glendening, of Richmond, Texas, and son in law Rodney Glendening of Richmond, Texas and son in law Benton Wade Wilson. Barbara treasured her granddaughter Taylor Marie Glendening of Richmond, Texas. She is also survived by brother David Bauer, Mary Colebrook, Brenda Bauer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wants to express extreme gratitude for the people who cared for Barbara in life. Vickie Morris of Houston, Texas for her devoted friendship. The caregivers at Inwood Crossing and Harvest Home Memory Care in Tomball, Texas. Special thanks to every member of Wheatlands Healthcare Center in Kingman, Kansas Memory Care for outstanding support and care. We are grateful to Pam, Brittany, and Stephanie and others of Rivercross Hospice of Wichita, Kansas.
All friends and family are invited to attend the memorial service, February 26, 2024, at 2:00pm at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home in Houston, Texas to celebrate the love and light of Barbara Henson.
