Barbara Ann Bartus Lance passed away in her home in Houston on November 3, 2012 at the age of 64. Barbara was born on June 19th, 1948. After graduating from Floresville High School in 1965 she continued her education at Texas Tech University where she received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology. She began her career of 28 years with the Texas Department of Human Services in Floresville, Texas and later transferred to Houston, Texas. She met and married Enrique Amador Lance with whom she had her two children Sandra Francisca Weston and Enrique Carlos Lance III. Barbara’s children were of the most importance and her life was focused on their upbringing. She had one granddaughter, Lily Elizabeth Weston, who was the light of her life. Barbara loved gardening, working on her home, history and travel. She took many family vacations always with her children by her side. She is survived by Sandra Weston , Enrique Lance, and her granddaughter Lily Weston. She is also survived by her sister Janet Nix of San Antonio, Texas. Barbara will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was truly an amazing and beautiful woman.
