Barbara Jean Ostrom

A devoted mother and grandmother, Barbara Jean Ostrom, 79, of Houston Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 in Little Rock Arkansas. She was born on April 10, 1943 the daughter of Henry and Victoria Wendt.

She was a graduate of The University of St. Thomas. She was married to John Michael Ostrom, of Houston TX, and together they raised two sons. She loved her family, fishing and enjoyed road trips and traveling, especially when her grandchildren were involved.

Barbara Jean Ostrom is survived by her son, Bradford Jerome Ostrom and his Anna Ostrom of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Daniel Ostrom, Alexander Ostrom, Emerson Ostrom, George Ostrom and Alice Ostrom of Houston TX, and Jane Ostrom, Joseph Ostrom, Philip Ostrom, Thomas Ostrom and Rose Ostrom of Little Rock Arkansas; brother, Douglas Wendt and Patricia Wendt of Galveston TX; as well as beloved brothers, sisters and daughters in law, and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

Preceding her in death is her husband and her son, Jason Bradley Ostrom of Houston TX.

Visitation be at 11:30 am on June 17, 2022 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Houston TX, followed by The Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm. Interment will take place at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery following Mass.
