Barbara was born in Santa Anna, Texas in Sealy Hospital on May 20, 1935.
She was married to the love of her life, Joe Benton Vinson, for 71 years.
Barbara worked as floral manager for Randall’s Grocery and later Safeway Stores.
She cherished her family and friends very much. She found joy in arranging flowers and was a fan of all kinds of music. Barbara enjoyed her trips to Nevada, Tennessee, California, and Wyoming. She was an amazing cook, her chocolate meringue pies will be remembered forever.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Keith Vinson and wife Beverly, Bryan Vinson and wife Dina; grandchildren, Kennie Albrecht, Ben and Danielle Vinson.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 1:30pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. Please meet in lane 1 at 1:15pm. Should you have any questions, please call American Heritage Funeral Home, 281-445-0050.
