She met her Husband Daniel through a mutual friend at high school and the rest, as they say, was a love story in the making. They married at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on April 25, 1964. They soon began their family and had 3 wonderful boys, which were the center of their world. Barbara was a wonderful mother and wife. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. Anytime you asked Barbara about a recipe she usually started with, “Well, you need a stick of butter”, no wonder everything she made was so delicious!
Barbara was an active PTA mom when her boys were young and enjoyed participating in their activities as children and as adults. Barbara loved her boys but was overjoyed when her granddaughters were born. She loved watching them grow into lovely young ladies.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 53 years, Daniel Zientek. She is survived by sons: John Zientek and wife Tracey of Sealy, Michael Zientek of Sealy, Christopher Zientek of Houston, granddaughters: Jaclyn and Abigail Zientek. She is also survived by her sister Eva Cummins of Houston, brother JC Smith and wife Sue of Katy, and many wonderful nephews and nieces.
