He attended the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, and after graduating he worked as a clinical instructor in Chong Hua School of Nursing in Cebu. He moved to the United States in 1972 and worked as an ICU nurse at Beth Israel Hospital in New Jersey and later transferred to San Francisco's, Daniel Freeman Hospital. It was in San Francisco where he reconnected with his long time crush and love of his life, Nimfa. They married on May 23, 1975 and began their whirlwind romance. They moved to Houston and he continued his career as an ICU/Recovery nurse at Twelve Oaks Hospital for 32 years. He later retired in 2008 and spent most of his time traveling with his beautiful wife.
Ben's true passion was his family and spending time with his grandchildren, who he loved dearly. He was adored by many and will be remembered for his unconditional love and kind heart. He always considered himself blessed. He will truly be missed.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Medical Mission of the Divine Mercy of St. Laurence Catholic Church of Sugar Land in his name, in which he both passionately supported and served.
