He worked at Weingarten's for many years and retired from Fiesta as a meat manager. Bennie was a devout catholic and a long time member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel & Micaela Garcia. Survived by wife Elida S. Garica of 54 years; children Mary Alice Flores (Franco), Andy Garcia (Juanita), Libby Euresti, Frances Guzman, Alex Garcia, Patti Perez; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; brother Amado Garcia (Norma); sister Angie Longoria (Fidencio) of Fort Worth, TX; numerous other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, December 20th from 3:00pm - 9:00pm at the chapel of Pat H. Foley Funeral Directors, Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, December 21st at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston 77018. Rite of Christian burial will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery, 1101 Antoine, Houston 77055.
