Mrs. Berna Lafleur Jones

LaFleur. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

On July 21, 1973, she united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Charles Allen Jones of Opelousas,

LA. Having grown up as an only child, she was later embraced by a loving family of eleven sisters and four

brothers. Upon moving to Houston, TX in 1973, she joined St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church and St.

Peter Claver Catholic Church. In her latter Christian walk, she was a devoted member of The Light House

Church until the time of her home going.

Some of her proudest accomplishments were being married to Allen for forty-six wonderful years, her vow

renewal ceremony where her son walked her down the aisle, and her daughters were her bridesmaids. Also

working as a Human Resource Manager at Target for over seventeen years where coworkers became family and being of service to her neighbors on Bluestone Dr. in their time of need gave her great joy.

Bonnie is survived by; her daughters: Clairese Jackson (Genesis), Monie Davis, Consuelo Gamble

(Trennan) and Stephanie Moore; son: Maceo Jones; sister: Cheryl Davis (Jerald); twelve grandchildren:

Krystal, Nyla (Donovan), Christian (Tierra), Sanaa (Justin), Tiffany, Morgan, Zaire, Ryan, Seth, Kaitlyn,

Charlie and Bryleigh; five great-grandchildren: Kendyl, Armiah, A’Ryaah, Avyaan and Ahman;

and a host of in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents: Hurris and Anna; her husband: Charles Allen;

her son: Charles Keith; her uncle: Nolton LaFleur Sr.; and cousins: Nolton (Joe) LaFleur and Kenneth LaFleur.
