

Bernardine Kwiatkowski, 89, died on December 29, 2024. She was born on March 6, 1935, in Montgomery, Texas to Antone and Ella (Rosilier) Diehl. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years Alben Kwiatkowski, who she missed deeply. Her sister Gladys Gabriel and brother Louis Diehl also preceded her in death.
Bernardine loved Jesus and enjoyed celebrating mass at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She and her husband were active members for many years raising 5 children in the Catholic faith.
Bernardine is survived by her daughters: Debbie McKaskle and husband Randy, Karen Thomas and husband Craig, Diane Benavides and husband Kenneth; sons: David Kwiatkowski and wife Sandra, Alben Kwiatkowski and wife Oxana.
Mrs. Kwiatkowski was also the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 11 great-children. She was a much-loved grandmother who spent time attending various school events making life long memories with her grandchildren. Her life long example of having a strong devotion to prayer and her unwavering Catholic faith was a gift that she left for all of us to follow. She will be greatly missed but her spirit and strength will live on in each grandchild: Kristie, Ashley, Lauren, DJ, Nicholas, Sam, Disney, Zak, Evan, Kaitlin, Caroline, Audrey, Elizabeth, Celeste, Joey, Ben, Alex, Olivia, Everlee, Geordi, Ethan, Vinny, Abby and Ollie.
Bernardine’s final years were spent at St. Dominic Village in Houston. She resided recently in the nursing home and made numerous friends as a regular participant at the community masses. We, as her family would like to thank the staff and residents of St. Dominic Village for their caring attention to her needs and also for all the kindness and support we received when we visited her at St Dominic Village.
A visitation for Bernardine will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. A vigil & rosary will occur Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 4:00 PM, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. A funeral mass will occur Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Warren Chapel, 2401 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77021. A committal service will occur Monday, January 6, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077.
