Bertha Benitez Calvillo

She was married to Tommy Garza Calvillo on August 3, 1962. Bertha had a career in Tax Preparation for H&R Block, she enjoyed flipping houses but her passion in life was being a homemaker for her family. She is survived by her children Alicia C. Salinas, Genaro Calvillo, and Edwin Calvillo; her grandchildren Nikeela Salazar, Marivel Perez, Joshua Salinas, Tommy Calvillo III, Brandon Calvillo, Genaro Calvillo, Angelina Calvillo, Eric Fiedler, Edwin Calvillo, and Caleb Calvillo; her great grandchildren Isobel Perez, Ayla Perez, Ksayneia Ayers, Maddox Ayers, Ava Calvillo and Mila Calvillo.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Tommy Calvillo Sr. and their beloved son Tommy Calvillo Jr.

A visitation for Bertha will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A rosary service will occur Monday, August 23, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
