Momo, what a year of wishing you were here to see your thriving little Garzas,  compliments of Jacob and Laura.   They are so full of energy and love the home Daddy and Mommy have bought for them.  Their toy room is full of activity and fun things to do all the time.  It's their kid's cave and they love it.  Daddy has made sure pictures of you are prominently displayed along with all the family.  I love when Jack points to you in the pictures and says "Momo".  We go through naming all the family members and he questions me about you.  I always tell him you are the Angel watching over us and he always smiles.  He has the cutest smiles.  James Oliver at 8 months gets the Mr. Personality award because he is always smiling.  Looks so much like Daddy and is so cute. He's already standing and pulling up.  He'll be walking soon.  Lily is our princess and loves to dance and dress up in all her Princess dresses.   We love and miss you.  Thank you for watching over us.  Mary Ann and I think of you often.  You are always in our hearts.  All our love.

Miss you Momo all the time.   Mary Ann and I reminisce and speak lovingly of our times together.  We always had so much fun with you.  They were always happy times.    You were so loving and inclusive with us.  Every time I am with Lily and she smiles and dances, she reminds me of you and your zest for life.   Jack has lots of Turner in him.  He looks like Laura and makes the cutest mischievous looks like his Grandpa Turner did with his cute smile.  We are anxiously awaiting the third little Garza, another boy.  Lily and Jack are happy, very playful and love sports like their Mommy and Daddy.  They are a joy be around and watch grow.  Thank you for checking in on us Momo. We sense your presence. Can't believe it has been two years.  You have been so missed.  Lily Luna appeared a little early on Laura's Birthday 2020 and Brother Jack Maris joined us March 2022.  Lily loves to see you with Popo in pictures and enjoys her outings with Nana Tracy and Papa.  She looks like Nana Tracy and Momo with her curly locks.  She is so cute. Jack is also a cutie, has a lot of Turner traits and definitely has the Garza/Turner love of sports.  He is already sitting up and standing up on his own.  You would be so proud of the love and patience Laura and Jacob have with their babies.  They are the happiest children I have ever seen.  I know it's the love and support from earth and heavenly angels.  Sending prayers for interceding with the One on those of us here.  All my love, Letty

To my big sister and best friend Birdie 

    I say this with a heavy heart.  I have suffered a great lost, but knowing you are  resting peacefully over me.  By losing the most loving, caring, giving and grateful big sister  in our lives. It will be very lonely without Birdie. She was feisty and funny.  I will miss her mixed  up words, such as GPS was her term for UPS. My big sister was know as Momo or Birdie.  But she  was known to me as my Big Sister and Best friend. What many may not have known she was a freebird that flew high on life. Like the the song says she is and was the wind beneath my wings. Birdie was always there for me. And it has been hard for me to express, but If I could have one more birthday wish. I wish all of my sisters would be together for one more time. When you come from a large familia like us, it is  hard to lose a part of you. But to lose my big sister  Birdie and best friend this is one of the hardest moments. Every time I went back to visit to visit my familia, I knew I was home. Because all  of my Brothers and Sisters are home. Birdie will be greatly missed. My big sister Birdie was the unity  that kept us grounded and together. Her Heart was rich with love and big to share with all of us.

Words can never express the deep sorrow I have knowing I can no longer hear your voice or visit you. You were my best friend and my confidante...my partner in crime....You did leave me with some of the best memories and it is a comfort to know that I will see you again. My momo was first my director at Affordable Daycare in 2004, she always helped me learn things to be better and move up the job later working together in her garage babysitting, then over time she became a best friend and then a mother,  the best mother that can exist, little by little she got to know her and popo's beautiful family.  A hard-working, strong woman, always dedicated to her family.  We will miss you very much but you will always be in our mind and heart.  Our condolences to the whole family. As a friend of Mike and Tammy Birdie always made me feel like part of her family.. She was a sweet woman and I would want her to know that her kindness meant so much to me.   My sincere condolences go out to the Rodriguez family, I am so sorry for your loss.  I know she’s surrounded by angels in heaven.

Birdie was my friend first and then she became my sister-in-law. She was one of my bridesmaids when  Chuy and I married. We reciprocated when she and my brother Gus married. We were out of touch for the next few years due to their Air Force assignments. Then Gus became a recruiter in Houston and we picked up where we had left off. Birdie adorned all her family and all could depend on her anytime they needed her help or advice. I will always be grateful to her for her love and assistance with our mom’s care  when mom was terminally ill. I still can not believe she is gone but the great memories remain.  The great girl’s vacations will always be treasured as well as our casino trips.If you were lucky enough to be considered her friend, you were her friend forever. You missed out if you were not. She could really get upset if she perceived you as rude or unfriendly and the rumor was that there is a Dairy Queen in Refugio Texas that has her picture on their window disallowing her entrance. I will smile and think of you Birdie every time I see a kolache or apple fritter. I miss you. Love you . Lola

From the time we first met, I knew we would be friends forever.  I had never played cards like you and the family did and it was the best night ever.  Everyone especially you made me feel welcomed and were patient with me.   I thank God that Jacob and Laura brought us together.   Your sweet offer to always include me in future family celebrations because we would be family touched me deeply.  You grew up in a large family as I did and luckily for you many were still around to enjoy each other.  We had so many plans for lunch, the casinos,  gatherings, but, first work then the pandemic got in the way.  Not to worry Momo, we will catch up later.  Rest now sweet one.  You will always be in our hearts.

I will cherish every memory we shared. I thank you for everything you have done for me. My favorite memory is the most recent and last memory, playing scat and you had 3 free rounds of metro. We met Birdie and Gus in Okinawa 1994. My wife Olga Romero Benavides went to High School with Birdie.  We became real close friends and later became Compadres. We would party just about every weekend. She was always a lot of fun with a big heart. We will miss her dearly.

Our great aunt whom was so loving and caring! Your smile brighten the room and made us always feel at home. We will miss you greatly! Your memories will always be with us! May you Rest In Peace aunt Birdie. 

Birdie was such a special person.  We met through Betty and had many adventures together.  She was always talking about her family and love of her life, Gus.  She loved her family and was so excited about the babies that were coming!  I thank God for her friendship and will miss her.
