Betty Lois Herzog

Betty Lois Herzog, 82, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013, at The Hampton Spring Shadows where she had lived since November, 2011. Born in Bellville, Texas on March 23, 1931 to William and Dolores Hildebrandt, Betty moved to Houston upon graduating from Bellville High School and attending Blinn Junior College. She went to work at Big Three Industries where she met her husband, Henry C. Herzog, who preceded her in death in 2003 after 50 years of marriage.

Betty is survived by her daughters Nancy Hastings and husband George and Karen Simpson and husband Jim; grandsons Nathan and Hunter Hastings and granddaughter and her husband, Kimberly Koctar Fontenot and Jeff. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Peggy and DA Brian of Henderson, Texas.

The family wishes to thank the staff of The Hampton Spring Shadows for their thoughtful and devoted care to Betty and to Memorial Hermann Hospice for their help and support.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial gifts may be directed to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or a favorite charity.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Stateroom at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7901 Westview Drive, Houston, Texas 77055. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
