Betty Jean Kemp, 86, born September 30, 1928 in Tarrant, AL entered into eternal rest January 5, 2015 in Cartersville, GA. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loyal friend. Betty loved to read and was a true "spitfire". Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Kemp whom she married on July 2, 1947 and her brother, Don Kennedy. Left to cherish her precious memories: son, Robert Kemp (JoAnn); daughter, Mary Ahrens (Ed), sister, Virginia McIntosh; sister-in-law, Peggy Kennedy; grandchildren: Shane Kemp (Amanda), Debbie Browen (Jason), Terry Kemp (Nikki), Travis Ahrens (Caroline) and Russell Ahrens; great grandchildren: Kaylee, Chloe and William; along with numerous loving cousins and many friends. Visitation will be Fri., Jan. 9th from 5-8pm at Brookside Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30am, Sat., Jan. 10th at Brookside Memorial Park.
