

Betty Alice Hill Lavender, age 88, of Kingwood, Texas went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2021. She was born on June 2, 1933 in Houston, Texas to parents Frank and Pauline Hill. She grew up in the Heights/Kashmere Gardens. She attended Hamilton Junior High and Reagan High School. Betty married George Lavender on July 30, 1953. Her husband and love of her life George Lavender preceded Betty in death, along with her parents Pauline and Frank Hill, sister Mary Ann Smith and brother John Hill.
Betty and George were married almost 63 years. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Holak and Fiancé Alex Nava, Susan Ferguson and husband Tom Ferguson; four grandchildren, Lauren Holak, Matthew Holak, Izzie Scerra, and Abigail Nava.
Betty worked as an Insurance Underwriter until she was blessed with children. At this time she retired from her position at American General and began the role as stay at home mom, chauffeur and all around cheerleader for her children. Betty enjoyed crocheting, especially baby blankets. Betty never met a stranger and loved meeting new people. Her smile and kind gentle nature will be dearly missed but she is now back with her best friend George.
Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Holak, Alex Nava, Tom Ferguson, Jason Machos, Jerry Smith, Wayne Gum and Gary Gum.
