Beverly Kay Carrel

She was born in Vincennes, Indiana, to John Donovan and Dixie Donovan and was the youngest of three children. Beverly attended Lincoln High School and graduated from Battle Creek High School in Battle Creek, Michigan. She later returned to Vincennes, attending Vincennes University and earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana State University. Beverly taught school for several years, teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.

Beverly was a kind and generous person who was never without a smile. Her warm spirit and gentle nature will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Donovan and Dixie Donovan, her sister, Sandra Donovan, and her brother, John Donovan.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Herb Carrel; her daughters, Lori Carrel Herleth of Katy, Texas, and Suzanne Carrel Anderson of Davie, Florida; her sons-in-law, David Herleth and Francisco Anderson; and her cherished grandchildren, Ally Herleth, Jackson Herleth, Sydney Herleth, Lilian Anderson, and Nina Anderson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., provided by Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Houston, Texas.
