Bill Seth Person

February 11, 1948- February 13, 2018

Bill Person passed away after a brief illness on February 13, 2018. Bill was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on February 11, 1948 to Wilton and Mary Nell Denton Person. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bruce Person. He graduated from Red Oak High School in Red Oak, Oklahoma, in 1966 and went to work for Rowan Drilling. Bill worked for Rowan Company from 1967 and retired in 2005 as Vice President of Investor Relations. Bill attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a degree in Business Management. Bill married Beverly Ann Rasco who preceded him in 1994.

Bill’s father worked for Rowan Drilling and they moved 2-3 times a year. His parents, being concerned about their moves and his education, bought him many books and hence he developed a love of reading. Bill was very active in the National Rifle Association and The Heritage Foundation. Bill’s loving wife of 22 years, Nancy Person, preceded him in death on June 9, 2017. They had a full life together traveling many places, enjoying their home in Colorado, and the love of their dogs Chelsea and Kelly.

The graveside service will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park and Cemetery, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
