

Bill attended Tarleton State University and graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Architectural Engineering in 1954. He then proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force in Korea. After his service, he was employed by Brown & Root, Inc for 30 years, in various capacities including Vice President, President of Brown & Root International (which included responsibility for Brown & Root’s Eastern Hemisphere marine operations and eventually for all Brown & Root’s worldwide Marine Engineering and Construction Operations), and then Executive Vice President and Member of the Board. In 1986, he formed Stallworth Interests, Inc. and in 1993 became a General Partner in Stallworth Frankhouser, Associates. He worked to create TransCoastal Marine Services Inc. in 1997 serving as its CEO and Chairman during its first year. Bill was also a former Board Member for Fugro NV. Bill was honored to be named as a Distinguished Alumnus in 2003 of Tarleton State University. In 2008, he was inducted into the Offshore Energy Center’s Hall of Fame as an Industry Pioneer. He also served on the Advisory Council for Texas A&M’s Mays Business School Center for International Studies for 23 years.
Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed by everyone that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife of 55 years, Jackie Wardlaw Stallworth. Bill is survived by his son William Wardlaw Stallworth and his wife Suzanne, and by his daughter Suzanne Monk and her husband Bryan; grandchildren Taylor and Travis Monk , Madeleine and Jacqueline Stallworth,; and his sister, Jeanette Dillard.
Visitation took place on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079. A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was at the Sonora Cemetery in Sutton County, TX.
