Blanca Maricela Ramírez, 67, of Houston, Texas, passed away on September 17, 2025. She was born on January 1, 1958, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, México, to Jacinto Mendieta and Josefa Ramos. Blanca studied commerce at Academia Justo Sierra in Matamoros. On December 14, 1987, she married the love of her life, Noe Ramírez, and together they built a beautiful family. In Mexico, she worked as a secretary in a tire shop. After moving to Houston, she dedicated herself to raising her children and later worked as a cook at Luby’s Cafeteria and in school cafeterias for Spring Branch ISD and Klein ISD.
A devoted Christian, Blanca’s faith was at the center of her life. She loved reading the Bible, listening to Christian music, and following online sermons. She joyfully shared God’s word with everyone she met. Outside of her faith, she had a passion for cooking—always eager to learn new recipes from the cooking channel and, most of all, cooking with love for her family.
Blanca is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Jacinto Mendieta, Josefa Ramos, María Ema Mendieta, María Guadalupe Mendieta, Martín Mendieta, Miguel Ángel Mendieta, and Martha Villafranca.
