Blasita S. Escalona

Blasita Selbera Escalona daughter of Reynaldo and Matiana Selbera, Kyle, Tx born November 02, 1936 called home on September 19, 2019. She graduated from Southwest Texas State College with a BA in education (1960) and a MA in education from TSU. She is a retired teacher, a Lady Knight, and founding member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic church. She is survived by her loving husband Joe Escalona. She is also survived by her sister Ophelia and husband Carl Bigford. She is survived by children Javier and Patti Escalona, Michelle and Alfredo Abrego, Joseph Oscar and Nelly Escalona, and Ted and Tanya Escalona. Grand children Christina, Ariel, Selena, Lea, Jacob, Lydia, Victoria, Joseph, Jazmin, Sono, Cassie, Timothy, Julian, Kylee, and Brooklyn. Five great grandsons, and seven great grand daughters.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday September 25th, 2019. Viewing 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm with Rosary starting at 7:00 pm at Advantage Funeral home,7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, TX 77081. The funeral Mass held Thursday September 26th, 2019 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic church 5430 W Ridgecreek , Houston, Texas 77053 at 10:00 am. Interment at will be Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas 77038 with reception to follow at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic church big hall.
