Just found out that Bob Passed away. He was a very nice Man. I  was a Mortuary student in 1988 when I  first Met Him. I  was working at Forest Park Westheimer at the time. Hecwill not be forgotten

So sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. I met Bob many years ago through Ryan Hairell when both he and Bob worked at George H. Lewis and sons. 
Bob was one good guy. He was of lots of fun to be around. Had many fun times at conventions with Bob.
Bob was definitely a legend at George H. Lewis and Sons. There will never be another Bob Jones.  He helped many families through some of the most difficult times in their lives when at George H. Lewis and any other SCI Locations.
God bless you Bob. Job well done buddy.

Bob Jones always had a kind and encouraging word to share, and I miss his warm, sweet smile. He had a sense of humor and a genuine way of making everyone feel valued and appreciated.   His kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed. I will always remember how he instilled confidence in me and offered words of  affirmation when I started with Geo. H. Lewis & Sons.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My condolences to his family. I have known Bob for many years having the pleasure of working with him and assisting him on services. He had a great personality and an unforgettable laugh. May you now rest in peace dear friend.

Well my friend you have gone to get your reward. My 17 yrs of knowing you have been a blessing. Our in person chats about my church Rev .Bill Lawson and Wheeler Ave Baptist of Houston.  Our laughs during  Covid checking on each other, You filling me in on how David Thorpe your neighbor is doing. I miss Tj he always checked on me well you 2 are together again in brand new bodies. Job well done Bob your heart for others was not unnoticed. Save me a seat I trust god I will see you again🙏

Rest in Peace Friend.. I worked with Bob about 45+  years ago at Niday Funeral Home, believe it or not when he first came this area. We became instant friends. He was absolutely hilarious and I was very proud that he advanced so far in his career to the top as I would consider.

Bob Jones is my friend who always made me laugh with his wonderful witty  comments. Often they would come out of left field when you least expect them.  Professionally  he was an inspiration  to behold as he ministered to his families during their time of loss.  Bob was a mentor to several generations of funeral professionals. He never really retired and if the God Lord will let him,  we might still receive some encouragement from Bob. As his friend, I will be seeking some guidance in my prayers,  so  feel free Bob to mentor me.   Well done dear friend and save a spot for next

I’m heartbroken to hear of Bob’s passing. He was a trusted friend and a steady presence during one of the hardest times in my life, serving as my mother’s funeral director with true grace and compassion. Bob also played a meaningful role in my own career journey, helping me find my path at SCI. I’ll always be grateful for his kindness and quiet strength. And I absolutely loved his disarming, mischievous sense of humor. He had a way of making you laugh when you least expected it. Rest well, my friend.

Bob was a wonderful man.  As Head Usher for funerals for many years at First Presbyterian Church I got to know most of the city’s funeral directors.  Bob was special.  When we saw each other smiles immediately appeared on our faces.  I turned one of his favorite anecdotes around on him.  He fondly mentioned that one time the head minister of the church where the funeral was being held came up to him and said, “It’s good to see you back in church, Bob!”  I always said that to him and the smiles continued.  

Bob Jones will be missed.

Bob was both a true gentleman and a scholar.  My time spent working with him while attending school is some of my fondest and cherished memories, in which I learned a lot of being a good servant to families and to the funeral profession.

It’s hard to put into words what a great soul Mr. Robert was. 
Whether it was a nice joke  or a kind word during difficult moments, he had a way of reminding us all of what really matters: compassion, understanding, and the beauty of a peaceful spirit.

We are so grateful for the time we shared with him, and we carry his memory with deep respect and love.  We were truly blessed to have him as part of our assisted living home family. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may his family find comfort in knowing how deeply he was cherished.

Bob was one of my earliest mentors while I was starting out in the funeral profession at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons. I will always remember his quick wit and how genuinely funny he was. He will be missed.

I was so saddened to learn of Mr. Jones’ passing. He was a great mentor to me throughout my tenure as a funeral director at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons. He always had a way of using humor to take a difficult professional situation and lightening it up with his witticisms. I will never forget him. Rest in peace, Mr. Jones.
