Bonnie Louise Houser, 86, of Houston, Texas, passed away February 19, 2025. She was born in Prichard, W Va on June 8, 1938. Bonnie graduated from Buffalo High School and received a degree in Interior Design from San Jacinto College.
A fiercely independent woman, Bonnie left home in West Virginia in 1957 to visit her best friend from home who had moved to Houston and quickly decided to move there permanently. She soon found employment at a bank downtown where she would eventually meet her future husband, Walter (Bud) Houser, and married him in 1959. She was married to Bud for 65 years . Bonnie finished her career working for Montgomery County Commissioner Mike Mendor's office for over 20 years after working previously in the interior design industry . She had a passion for travel, cooking, interior decorating, gardening, and shopping with her granddaughter. Bonnie was the most selfless person you could ever know, always putting her family's needs above her own in order to make their lives better. We will forever be in awe of her selflessness.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Houser; son, Barry Houser; granddaughter, Hayden; and sister, Sue Mealy of Prichard, W Va.
