

Bonnie Jean Kellis Thomson, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 28, 2010. She was born March 24, 1933 in Longview, Texas. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Odas Ray Thomson; sons, Ronald Ray and Gary Thomson; granddaughter, Tamara; parents, Carey and Laura Kellis; brothers, Robert Wayne, Bob, John and Bill; sisters, Ruby Nell and Peggy Sue. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra and husband, Wes; a son, Roger and girlfriend, Selena; grandchildren, Connie, Curtis and wife, Amy, Jesse Nelson and Jennifer Thomson; great-grandchildren Cody, Thomas, Rhiannon, Emma, Nathan and Natalie; sisters, Betty and husband, Leroy, Margaret and husband, Ronnie, Shirley and Carol, and a brother, Dean. Bonnie’s parents moved from town to town before they settled in Rosenberg, Texas. Bonnie worked as a carhop at The Weesatch Inn, where she met and later married her husband of 50 years, Odas Ray Thomson. They settled and raised their children in Sugar Land. Bonnie retired from the Imperial Sugar Co. in 1995. Bonnie loved going to garage sales and found joy in collecting dolls. She and Odas enjoyed traveling, river fishing, Hallmark and Westerns movies and classic country music. Bonnie became a member of the Seven Oaks Church of Christ in 1997. A special thanks goes to the staff of Silverado Hospice.Services will be held in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home on 12/1/2010 at 2 PM and a visitation 11/30/2010 from 5-9 PM. Interment at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
