Bonnie was a very creative person who enjoyed sewing, painting, and board games with family. She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite color was purple. and she enjoyed many years with pets, Elizabeth and Mandy. She enjoyed decorating her home and once even painted our television pink so it would match the décor!

She began a 25-year marriage to Wendell in 1959 and had 3 children. After having her second son, David, she began her relationship with God after receiving healing from complications of childbirth. Her faith was strengthened as she walked through having a Down Syndrome child, Jonathan. This would become a testimony she shared many times over the years.
Bonnie was an international speaker as well as president and founder of Shield of Love Ministries. Her encounter with God resulted in a life transformation and a commitment to His Lordship in every area of her life. The Lord took Bonnie to new heights in His love and helped her to overcome some of the darkest and most desperate hours of her life. She has experienced the reality of His presence in marriage; sudden widowhood, and the day-by-day healing of her third child.
