

Brenda was born in Browning, Missouri on June 23, 1942, and is the daughter of Maxie Rose Crum Nelson and Jesse Ray Nelson, Jr. She was little when they moved to Houston, Texas and she ended up staying here the rest of her life.
My mom was full of life and loved by all of her friends and family. She retired in 1982 as a Division Order Analyst in the Oil & Gas Industry. Then started her own retail business right afterwards called Kay’s Gold Mine which the last location of her boutique was in Old Town Spring.
Brenda is survived by her husband Paul Ezell, daughter Tracy Kozachuk LeBlanc, with her husband Gus LeBlanc, and her brother Lain Keelin. Along with her step children Kendal Ezell Carrow, husband Jake Carrow. Tracy Ezell, wife Christy Ezell. Her grandchildren Tarrah Drews, and Tiffany Drews, with finance’ Ryan Riva and other grandchildren. Great grandson Trevor Clopton and several other great grandchildren, and family. Brenda is also predeceased by her late husband George Kozachuk.
A funeral service for Brenda will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Cr, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095. A committal service will occur Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Klein Memorial Park Cemetery, 32509 TX-249, Pinehurst, TX 77362. A visitation will occur Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095.
