It is with the deepest sadness that we write this remembrance to Earls baby sister Brenda.  We shared a lot of fun times and made some special memories over the years.  We had such fun on our golfing trips with Mike and Brenda to Lake Tahoe, California, Navarre Beach and Destin Florida.  The Ski trip to Crested Butte, Colorado was extra special.  Earl, Brenda and I made several fun trips for family events to Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Oklahoma to name a few. It has been a blessing that Earl talked Brenda into moving to The Woodlands after Mike passed.  We were glad that Brenda was close by the last 18 months and we were able to be with her on her last journey.  Earl was glad that he could be with her when she was diagnosed with cancer and was able to look after her even when she insisted she was fine.  I know Brenda was glad that Earl was around for doctor appointments and treatments.  They had a lot of long talks about life and would always like to reminisce about their good times growing up especially the days in Tomball.  Earl and I both will miss Brenda very much.  She was a very special sister and a great sister in law to me.   We love you Brenda,  Earl and Jean

My thoughts and prayers are with the Smith family. May God give you strength doing this difficult time. Brenda was a Super person and had such a beautiful soul. She will be missed .

I have so many fond memories of Brenda over the years.  She would always tell me to look at the flip side of things, so we call her our flip side friend. I have never known any one who had a more loving marriage than Brenda and Mike. I know they are together now and forever. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She will be missed by all. May God be with you all during this difficult time.

It's impossible to say goodbye to my mother. She was my pillar of strength, my shoulder to cry on, my partner in crime, and my biggest fan. One of my earliest memories of her was her standing in the kitchen making jelly filled donuts as I pulled the drawers out of the cabinet to use as stairs to climb up on the counter and watch what she was doing.  She would talk and laugh with me or sometimes sing until it was time to tell the others that it was ready and then she'd help me off my perch on the counter. Many years later when I had kids of my own that memory would come back to mind as I watched her interact with my own kids. When it came to her own grandchildren she was so full of energy and life that it amazed me. Her last request was to see all of her babies (grandchildren). I was so humbled by her courage and strength to meet privately with each of the seven to give them her last message. Again the memory of me sitting in her kitchen came back to mind as she talked and laughed with each of the kids to give them a memory of not fear and worry of the next step but a loving send off and closure that no one else could give them. Thank you God for allowing this amazing and wonderful woman to be my mother.

Going to miss you my Dear Friend and our talks.  Walk among the Angels with your soul mate and husband, Mike, your children will keep the home fires burning.   You will be missed..

I have so many wonderful memories of Brenda over the years, ever since I was a young girl.  Always smiling and offering words of encouragement,  Brenda was such a bright light as I know she is in Heaven.  Also thinking of the family and praying you will experience our Heavenly Father's peace and comfort  during this difficult time.

My dear sweet friend Brenda has gone to heaven and I will miss her calls, our long conversations on the phone, the fun party times, our dance lessons, the cries we had together that made us feel so much better, the breakfast club, the Bible studies, the cruises, the plays & musicals we went to and most of all the love & laughter we shared. This friend will miss her so much. I loved your Mom. We've cried together, we have laughed together and have shared a lot of stories together and a lot of times when we talked she would say "Mollie lets look on the Flipside" and I would laugh because I guess I have never  looked on the flipside of things.  Your Mom was a wonderful friend to all.  Just know and have faith you will see her again. She always spoke of her children and what they were doing and always let me know what her grandchildren were doing. God is your comfort. Love Mollie

Brenda Lee was a sweet soul and my life was better for knowing her.  My best wishes to her children and Earl and Cherry Lynn that you may remember all the good memories of her life and how much she loved you.

My deepest heartfelt sorrow for these children, grandchildren and loved ones of Brenda. She was a phenominal woman in her own right, so kind to never utter a nagative word about anyone. Brenda laughed, she cried, but, she was always there for anyone who had needs. A true friend I will never forget in her and the love of her life, Mike Smith.
