Dear Gail
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Buster.  No amount of time can prepare us for the loss of someone so close and no one can fully understand your sorrow but I’m sure many hearts are with you. May you find comfort from your family and friends to see you through this difficult time.

Gail:  Buster always had a gentle demeanor and a welcoming heart. Despite  many challenges with relatives, y’all made such a wonderful couple, and were so welcoming, and accepting. Buster and you opened your hearts,  and your home so generously. His devotion to you, Gail, whether driving,  or hosting,  or just sitting patiently in the lobby,  was  such a “ ‏מצווה /Mitzvah”, by  welcoming any person without judgment, for so many hours at Jewish services,  programs,  and  meetings, at Kol HaLev , and Brith Shalom, and all our Tikkunote rehearsals and performances were so generously and warmly welcomed by him.  He had a wonderful sense of humor, gentle, open heart, demonstrated every day, by  helping you and many others. He opened his heart to so many different people, suffering and with  many  challenges, with so little complaining. He also knew
how to laugh and enjoy life simply , with naturally flowing love. 
May his soul  be bound up with love for all eternity.

I will start by saying how very much I love and miss you dad and would give anything in the world for you to yell at me or tell me you told me so, I have feared this day since my mom passed away leaving him to be a single father to raise a 10 yr old daughter which he did with no questions asked.I have always watched my father work hard ,help others ,make people laugh and he showed me what qualities a man should have .He was truly a hero for his country and his family.I will forever regret not being given the opportunity to have last words with my daddy but I also remember when I was a little girl and would scream in nightmares of my mother he always told me that if anything ever happened to him all I had to do is close my eyes really tight and count to 10 and he would be right there ,He's gonna wreak havoc in heaven ,I just hope their ready for his sense of humor because it's not for virgin ears that's for sure.Gail I appreciate all you have done from the bottom of my heart and I pray God gives you all you have coming to you, Christiana Toland

Going to miss him, I learned a lot from him over 30+ years. He was Semper Fidelis to the Marines, Family, Friends, and the Metal Detecting Clubs .

Gail, we'll miss Buster and his funny sense of humor. A lovable curmudgeon, he always had a unique way of commenting on issues or situations.  Wishing you love and peace my sweet friend.

Buster was a hero to widows. When helping a widow with a garage sale, he met his loving wife Gail. Later when helping another widow clean up after losing their house, he came with truck and trailer. I am that widow and he was definitely a hero that day.

Buster,  My heart is broken. When I came to the hospital Sunday to see you and Gail,  I had no idea when I gave you a hug and kiss Goodbye,  that it would be the last time I'd ever see you. You were so special to us. You were  the sweetest, kindest and funniest man. You make me laugh with your silly jokes!  You  always made us feel loved and cared for.   Andy and I are thankful for every minute we got to spend with you and Gail. We enjoyed hanging out with you both at the VFW--Buster, You are a true hero.  Thank you for your service and sacrifice.  We appreciate you having concern for us--you always asked me "how's Andy?"  You always wanted to know that he's doing well.  And don't worry about Gail--we'll take care of her, I promise. We love you, till we see you in Heaven.  RIP sweet Buster!  Love Sandee and Andy

He loved metal detecting. All I can see is him sitting on his 5 gallon bucket in the midst of a seeded hunt for a few minutes and then back up and swing some more. He was a great addition to the hobby of Metal detecting. I’m glad I got to know Buster the 4 years I was the TAMDC President.

The metal detecting community has lost a great friend and an all around good man. Thank you Buster for your keen wit and jockular self. A tuff old bird but kind soul you were but now heaven will be in stitches at your jokes. Salute sir and Semper Fi.

Gail, I’m sorry to hear about the passing of Buster. Although I only knew him for a short time, he was a kind, funny and sweet man. He will be missed.
