

Byron Winston Bozeman passed away on December 10, 2016. Beloved son of Judy and James Bozeman was born and raised in Houston and lived in Galveston for the last 15 years. He thoroughly loved the “Island Byron” lifestyle.
Byron pursed an independent path in life. He was outgoing, gregarious and sometimes outrageous. He loved socializing as well as engaging in stimulating conversations on a wide range of topics, especially politics. He was warm hearted, caring, extremely loyal and supportive of a close circle of lifelong friends.
Byron received his Bachelor of Science in nursing from Texas Women’s University in 1991 and practiced as a surgical nurse.
He loved to travel beginning with family trips to Mexico, backpacking throughtout Europe, and he especially loved Florence Italy and revisted many times. His most recent trips were to Russia and Cuba.
Byron is predeceased by his brother, James D. Bozeman, Jr. and his grandparents , Sybil and Ethel Bozeman, Ann Marie Folsom and Samuel Paul Folsom. He leaves behind many loving friends and family including numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, along with much loved pets, Gigi, Boudreaux and Miss Kitty.
A visitation and celebration of Byron’s life will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas on Friday, December 16, between 5pm and 8pm.
A graveside memorial will be held on Saturday, December 17, 1:00pm at the same address.
