She met Jessie Gene Steel 35 miles outside Hereford, TX and they married on September 21, 1959. Marie owned M & G Machine Company with her husband for 46 years.
She is preceded in death by her son, Johnny Lynn Steel; sisters, Dena Bess Young, and Johnnie Katherine Funderburg; and brothers, Zach Moore, and Taylor Moore Jr.
Camantha is survived by her loving husband, Jessie Gene Steel; son, Bobby Gene Steel; daughters, Diana Marie Steel, Sherry Renee Steel; and sister, Bobbie Lou Conrad.
Serving as pallbearers are Ron VerdeRose, Chris Christman, Ronnie Steel, and Sam Grider.
A visitation for Marie will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
