

Camille T. Rao, age 94, passed away quietly on the 28th of October 2012. She was born to Italian immigrant's, Joseph and Grace Sciortino, in the year 1918. Married to Sam R. Rao for over 50 years, they built three businesses together. Camille had two sons, Rocco and Joseph. She was an avid bowler, loved her church, but most of all loved her beloved Sam.
She is preceeded in death by parents, Joseph and Grace Sciortino; brothers, Joseph and Bill Sciortino; and sister, Cinda Listi; granddaughter, Denice Rao, her husband, Sam, and son, Rocco.
She is survived by her son, Joseph and wife Toni Rao; grandchildren, Lisa and husband Fred Pringer, Denette Helfrick, Theresa Rao, Samantha and Jim Young; ten great- grandchildren, also her beloved niece, Grace Palermo; and nephew, Joe Sciortino; niece, Carolyn Cashiola; nephew, Nuncio Martino.
Camille wrote on an envelope we found, it said "when I die, go out to eat and have some fun". We plan to do just that. She will be greatly missed.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock this afternoon until eight o'clock this evening on Wednesday, the 31st of October, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where the recitation of the Holy Rosary is to commence at seven o'clock.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at half-past ten o'clock in the morning on Thursday, the 1st of November, at St. Cyril of Alexandria Catholic Church, 10503 Westheimer Road in Houston.
The Rite of Committal is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
