

We are gather here today to commemorate the life of and to say farewell to Carl Wayne McCormick Jr. “lovingly known as Bubba, baby Carl and Proudly knick named by his dad as Sonny Boy: “born to Carl Wayne McCormick Sr. and Dorethea McCormick in Houston, Texas on July 17, 1980.
Carl “Bubba” grew up in Houston and attended Shadydale Elementary School, Northwood Middle School and graduated from Forest Brook High School. While in school he was a band member and played the Tuba for the Forest Brook Marching Band. Carl went on to attended Texas Southern University, Houston Community College and then ITT tech. After school he began employment for the Harris County Toll road for 11 years where he was elevated to the position of manager , he was also employed as a manager for Auto Zone for over 5 years. Carl Wayne Jr. “Bubba” our son, our brother, our nephew and best friend, was a father, was a Fisherman, He was a music man, He was a Mechanic, He was a Cook and he was an achiever. Carl “Bubba” loved life: He enjoyed people, sharing, and helping others, he was very generous and he was not a man to hold a grudge. He was a big fluffy loving teddy bear. On any given weekend you could find Carl Wayne Jr. either cooking or working on his or someone else's car or helping some one in some way or another or he was gone crabbing. Carl Wayne "Sonny Boy" shared his wisdom and experiences with his brothers and sisters which he loved so dearly. He was always available for them to turn to for help and he listened diligently to their troubles and unselfishly addressed their needs and concerns.
