Carmello Randazzo

Our Italian Prince is gone. Our beloved Father, Husband, Brother, Comrade in Arms, Boss, Naval Submariner, Engineer, Intellect, Problem Solver, Strategos, and Compassionate Man, has gone to be back in the arms of his partner and wife of 50 years Gail, who went to her heavenly home last year. Carl was nothing if not resolute and fierce of determination to analyze and lead projects to the best resolution; Carl was an Engineer in every facet of his life, a solid, practical effectual Man who never met a problem he could not solve or ameliorate, even his Cancer battle was a project he strategized, analyzed and fought. Who does not have a Carl story that does not start with a problem they had, little or small, and how he investigated a matter to solve, whether it be practical, personal, large, small, uncomfortable, difficult or annoying?

Carl was our noble Prince, who loved us with fierceness, pushed those he loved beyond our comfort zone and we were glad for it afterward; who excelled and never did anything without full effort; and who never sought accolades from others, only the knowledge of a job well done. Our Italian Prince cared for us, loved us, fought for us, fought with us, led us, solved for us. We will never see again this mix of Brooklyn, Intelligence, Emotion, Pragmatism, Manual Skill, Strength, Grit, Determination, Selflessness, Nobility, Compassion, Love and Leadership.

The Photo is Mr. and Mrs. Carl and Gail Randazzo. There will be a Roman Catholic Requiem Mass for Carl in a few weeks, the date and time is to be determined.
