Carroll Ione Bryant

Carroll grew up in Houston, Texas, where she later met her husband, Sammy Bryant. Throughout the many seasons of her life, she was known in different ways by those around her. Some remembered her charm and spontaneity, while others found comfort in her kindness and caring nature. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them and socializing with friends. She also had a deep love for the country and the beauty of nature, especially butterflies, birds, and deer, and found joy in caring for her plants. She was always searching for unique and unusual plants to add to her flower garden.

Carroll devoted years of service to Bens Branch Elementary School as a custodian and worked in the cafeteria, where she was respected for her strong work ethic and dedication to the school community. She treasured the time spent together with family laughing and making memories. Those closest to her will remember her warmth, generosity, and willingness to help others before herself. Through it all, she remained a devoted mother, and that bond endured deeply. Her love and presence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Carroll was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Bryant; her father, Patrick Jensen; her mother Vivian Jensen; her stepmother, Betty Jensen; her brothers Pat Jensen and Randell Jensen; and her sons Arlen Bryant and Darryl Bryant; nephew Kenneth Jensen and niece Kathy Roskey.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Clifford Bryant; her daughter, Jenice Ricks and husband Rob; grandsons Kyle Ricks and Kaleb Ricks; daughter in-law Tamara Bryant, granddaughters Kambren Bryant, Chelsea Bryant and husband Jonathan Silva Diez, and Hailey Bryant; and great-grandchildren Dalzelynn Cruz, Israel Caballero, Julius Caballero, Dezzirae Caballero, Emmanuel Betzz Mandujano, Romina Silva, and Damian Silva Bryant, sister in-law MaryJo Jensen, stepsister Lynda Bryant McKeehan, Cindy and husband Randy Lawrence, and half-brother Richard Jensen. She is also survived by niece Melissa “Millie” Gandy and husband Larry, Angie Jensen, Donna Kilgore, nephew Joey Garza and wife Debbie, Randy (Bubba) Jensen and wife MaryKay and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.

Her memory will live on lovingly in the hearts of her family and friends, held close through the stories, laughter, and beautiful moments they shared with her.

Serving as pallbearers are Rob Ricks, Kyle Ricks, Kaleb Ricks, Patrick Jensen, Joseph Jensen, and Bobby Maglitto.

Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, US, on June 4, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
