

She was born here in Houston on the 29th of February 1948 as the only child to Jeff and Elizabeth Sheehan, who previously went on to be with their Lord.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mark H. Hay; son, Mark David Hay, and daughter-in-law, Christina Hay; daughter, Mimi Stokes, and son-in-law, Thomas Stokes; Grandsons: Matthew and Brian Hay; granddaughters: Shelby, Allison and Victoria Stokes; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
Catherine attended Horn Elementary and Jane Long Junior and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and later went to Tyler Junior College, Massey Business School and Halperin School of Modeling. She worked part of her adulthood in the healthcare and engineering fields and was the assistant to regional vice presidents on two different occasions.
She also devoted time to many worthwhile organizations, serving as President as the PTO of Alexander Elementary and the Brookfield Civic Association. She was also a member for many years of Cancer Fighters and Ronald McDonald House and especially enjoyed her involvement in the Memorial Women’s Club where she coordinated style shows and concentrated on increasing Club membership.
Catherine was baptized and married in River Oaks Baptist Church, where she and Mark were members upon her passing.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock this afternoon until eight o’clock this evening, Thursday, the 12th of August, at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock Friday morning, the 13th of August, in chapel of the Memorial Mission Mausoleum at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road in Houston, where Rev. Martus Miley, Pastor of River Oaks Baptist Church, is to officiate.
